New Construction- The construction of new buildings, additions to existing buildings, or alterations which convert the property to another use or extends the economic life of the improvement, is reassessed, establishing a new base year value for only that portion of the property.

Complete Restoration - Having an existing unit and taking it back to its original state by means of masonry replacement and/or cleaning.

Lintel Replacement - A lintel is usually the piece of steel the supports the masonry above an opening such as a door or window.  If the corner bricks or mortar are cracking, or you can see that the steel is actually bent, then unfortunately it is time to replace that lintel.  Failure to do so, can result in a violation from the city or even a collapse of a portion of a wall.

Grinding - This is the process that is recommended prior to tuckpointing where previous tuckpointing was already done and there is no room for new mortar.  This is a very dusty process, but we use vaccums and special grinders that prevent a majority of the dust from escaping into the air.

Tuckpointing- is the filling in of cracks and between masonry units like brick, block and stone to prevent water entry or any other weather bound situation that may be harmful to a buildings long term structure.

Sand Blasting - The use of high pressure sand particles usually used to clean building, paint or stubborn stains from a building.

Power Washing - The use of high pressure water usually used to clean building, paint or stubborn stains from a building.

Chemical Cleaning - The use of high pressure chemicals usually used to clean building, paint or stubborn stains from a building. When all other options have failed chemical cleaning is applied.

Chimney Repair & Building - The construction of a new chimney or repair to an existing one.

Brick Replacement - The replacement of brick that may be damaged. New brick is applied and tuckpointed to keep the structure safe and intact.

Violation Corrections:  If the City has given you a violation on your building, we can help you get those masonry corrections taken care of in a timely manner.  We work with many architects and engineers that can obtain permits for you and allow us to do the necessary repairs.
